Linskills are members of the legal services commission Serious Fraud Panel and as such are permitted to conduct legally aided defence work and serious and complex fraud.  Linskills crime team have the experience to handle cases brought by the Inland Revenue Customs and Excise, the D.T.I., the Serious Fraud office, or the Crown Prosecution Service.

A.P.I.L

One of our solicitors is a member of  A.P.I.L ( Association of Personal Injury Lawyers).  A.P.I.L. campaigns for better laws to help people who are injured or become ill through no fault of their own.  The Association provides a forum for specialist solicitors and barristers to work together and campaign to improve access to justice for victims of accidents, it fights for full and just compensation.

We have two contracts with the Legal Services Commission that enables the firm to undertake legally aided work for clients in relation to both criminal law and welfare benefits. We have a category one-status award for quality this is the highest recognition that can be awarded by the Legal Services Commission.

Duty Solicitor Scheme

Linskills were early members of the Liverpool Duty Scheme and have provided literally thousands of individual acts of advice.  Sometimes by telephone, but more usually by attending the police station in person 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with no exceptions.
It is a little known fact that most criminal cases are won or lost at the police station.

 

Accredited Representatives

As well as solicitors, Linskills field one of the largest teams of law society qualified staff to give people arrested by the police advice on a 24 – hour basis.
